3 Appointments to Make Before Your Atlanta Senior Session

atlanta senior photo appointments

Preparing for your Atlanta senior photos shouldn’t be stressful, but you also want to make sure that you have all your ducks in a row. I love when my moms and seniors make an event of their session day, keeping in mind appointments they’ll want beforehand to add those special touches to their day. This is also a great time for some mother-daughter bonding time and I am here for it.
These are three suggestions for appointments you’ll want to make in the weeks leading up to your senior session day to ensure you are relaxed, refreshed, and looking your best!

Appointments to Make Before Your Atlanta Senior Session

1. MANI/PEDI

Get your manicure and pedicure done a day or two before your session. This will ensure your polish and cuticles are fresh. Depending on your style, you can choose a fun color if your outfits are funky or eclectic. If you want to look clean and fresh, opt for a neutral pink or cream color.

2. HAIRSTYLIST

Of course you’ll want your hair looking it’s best, so book a trim and color session with your stylist a week or so before your portrait session. Remember not to go for any drastic changes, just touch up your roots, maintain your highlights, and get a fresh trim or layers. You can even opt for a deep conditioning treatment for healthy, shiny locks.

3. ESTHETICIAN

Skin care is key to glowing in your photos, so I’d recommend booking a facial a week before your session to ensure that your skin is photo ready on your big day. Exfoliation and moisturization are important for a smooth makeup application, so why not let the professionals handle it? Plus, what is more pampering than a facial?

*BONUS- MASSAGE

You can never go wrong by booking a relaxing massage a few days before your session to help calm your pre-session nerves. Many places offer both facials and massages, so make an afternoon of it!

One Appointment NOT to Book- Waxing

If you get your brows or any facial hair waxed (or threaded), make sure you do this in advance- 2 weeks or more before your session. Your skin needs time to heal from redness and swelling and makeup will not adhere to the freshly exposed skin. You can tweeze any strays that show up.

I like to think of this as the perfect time to pamper and show yourself some love and make it all one big experience! If you’re going to have amazing photos, why not treat yourself like a star beforehand?
But before you book these appointments, you’ll want to book your date for your session. Let’s talk about what your ideal shoot looks like!
