There are so many ways to plan for senior photos- all the guides, checklists, and must-do’s you’ll find in a Google search can be overwhelming. That’s exactly why I personally help design each session with my seniors.
Generic tips are good for the basics, but I want to know exactly what you are dreaming of for your session, so I have 4 ways that I help you plan your senior portrait session to ensure we are on the same page and that you fall in love with your photos!
1. The Welcome Form
It all starts with the initial questionnaire. This is the perfect way to get to know you and your preferences. It also helps me get an idea of your personality. It goes over the basics- location type, style, and makeup looks, but also dives a bit deeper- what are your concerns? What are you self-conscious about? These questions will all help to create not only beautiful photos, but a comfortable environment for your shoot.
2. The Planning App
After you secure your date, you will receive a text with your personal Prep App link. It has a ton of inspiration and tip links to help you envision your session. It also includes a checklist of what to bring to your session and a countdown to your session day!
3. The Welcome Packet
Shortly after our consult, you will be mailed a Welcome Packet that includes goodies from me, even more tips, and how to take care of your skin before the shoot. It even includes a Product Planning Guide to start thinking about how to display your gorgeous photos.
4. A Personalized Pinterest Board
I’m a very visual person as are most of my seniors, so Pinterest is an invaluable resource when it comes to planning. Each girl gets her own board to pin to her heart’s content! It perfect to see exactly what’s in my senior’s head so I can pose and light them to give them the images they really want. It’s also great for outfit and makeup inspiration. Check out my curated boards you can use to get started .
